Since Joomla doesn't support multi-category association for articles, imported posts will be associated with only one category.
Both Joomla and Wordpress installation (databases) should be on same server. It is not a limitation of JConverter but most hosting companies block external access to DB via firewall.
JConverter currently supports import of native Wordpress content, e.g. posts and pages. It does not support import of custom content types, e.g. galleries, products etc.
No refund can be made for purchases because of any of the limitations mentioned above.
From 1.7 version onward, support for Joomla 2.5.x is removed. You can still purchase JConverter and request for a 2.5 compatible version however it will not have any new functionality supported from JConverter 1.7 onward.
